WD-40 ANNOUNCES LIMITED EDITION TEAM WD-40 INSPIRED CAN

Sheffield based Team WD-40 by GR Motosport Ltd, are looking forward to the 8th round of the MCE British Superbike Championship this Bank Holiday weekend, where we will proudly be exhibiting the first ever WD-40 Limited edition can.

The stunning ‘Team WD-40’ branded version of its much loved and iconic blue and yellow 400ml Multi-Use Product can, is to celebrate WD-40’s ongoing partnership with GR Motosport Limited in the MCE British Superbike championship (BSB).

The Limited edition can’s all action images are a touching tribute to our late friend and rider Tommy Aquino whilst featuring current Team WD-40 rider Tarran Mackenzie and BSB. Available in all good retailers throughout the UK from their eye catching display units, again featuring Team WD-40, while stocks last. To further promote Team WD-40, every limited edition WD-40 can sold will also receive a free Team WD-40 window sticker to help support the team during the rest of the season.

To mark the launch of the limited edition cans, WD-40 has announced a competition to win a VIP trip to the final round of the British Superbike Championship, 17-19th October, at Brands Hatch. The lucky winners will win a chance to spend the final round of the year as guests of the team to experience all of the excitement that the last weekend of British Superbike Championship has to offer. The competition will be hosted on the official UK WD-40 Facebook page, where further information about the prize and full terms and conditions are available.

David Whittome, head of marketing for WD-40 Company, said: “To celebrate our ongoing partnership with Team WD-40, we have created this limited edition can in conjunction with the team. Our relationship with Team WD-40 has seen us develop and launch the new WD-40 Specialist Motorbike range, which was developed with the help of the team and our in house R&D team. This range has been developed to help riders maintain their bikes all year round, as well as helping to improve performance. However, our WD-40 Multi-Use Product still remains a key tool for motorcyclists to clean and protect their machines.”

Brent Gladwin Team WD-40’s manager, said: “We are absolutely stunned with the way this, the first ever ‘Limited Edition Can’ from WD-40 has turned out.

David Whittome and his Team have done a fantastic job, managing to pay a fitting tribute to Tommy while showing the excitement of BSB, the World’s best national motorcycle road race series. The striking point of sale display stands capture the essence of the Team and the sponsorship partners involvement. Everyone involved is proud to be known as an important part of ‘TEAM WD-40’.

We are really looking forward to this weekend at Cadwell where we will present the can and welcome a special guest - Tom Aquino. We are expecting it to be emotional as this will be Tom’s first time at BSB and Cadwell Park the scene of Tommy’s awesome victory last year.

Along with the thanks we give to our current sponsors, We have many people to thank for their support in the coming weekends activities including BSB Race Director Stuart Higgs and Mark Gandy of Helmet House USA ( more on this later)
