Brainerd, Minnesota (July 3) – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held its fourth round of the Shootout Championship and Rider Challenge Championships Series, June 30, at Brainerd International Raceway.

A full paddock of riders from across the Midwest and Canada converged on the Competition Course for an action packed Track Day and School along with an afternoon of exciting sprint races. With several Championships up for grabs, racers and riders provided a thrilling show. The series presented by BlownConcepts.com awarded $1000 in cash prizes to all top 3 finishers in each of the classes.

In the Expert GP3/4, Pat Stewart dominated the competition from start to finish aboard the Cities Edge Kawasaki ZX-10R. In a fierce battle for the rest of the podium, TPL Racing Jordan Irmie finished strong in 2nd and Aaron Anderson finished respectively in 3rd. In the Expert GP1/2, Brett Folkerts dominated the field to take the win.

In the Novice ranks, Harry Jensen edged out Brad Kreller and Jes Schwartz for the GP3/4 win. Adam Harrison put together a strong performance for the Novice GP1/2 win.

ZARS continues to broaden our opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. In the GP4, Chris Burns took the win and the overall with a commanding performance. In the GP3, Martin Holte took held off Ken Nielsen and Scott Masterton for the checkered flag. In the GP1/2, Alex Nelson and Dave Pederson put on an incredible show with a fierce battle right to the end. On the last lap, Dave Pederson went in too hot in turn 12 and rode off, ultimately paving the way for Alex Nelson to take the checkered flag.
