Pets Named After Famous Racers, Part 50: Travis The Dog

Travis The Dog.
Sean Osowski sent in this photo, and a note:

"I’ve attached a picture of my dog for your slow news day submission. When my wife Cindy and I rescued our half-SharPei/half-Boxer from a shelter in Alabama, we asked my nephew and motocrosser, Bobby Bettencourt, to name him. He chose Travis after Travis Pastrana. Travis is seen in the photo on his 21st birthday (3 in dog years) learning from his uncle Joey how to drink beer!

"Travis lives with my wife Cynthia and I in Villa Rica, Georgia. It's about 30 miles west of Atlanta, so it's close to Barber Motorsports and Road Atlanta. I gave up the motorcycle mechanic job 20+ years ago to be an aviation mechanic for Delta Air Lines.

"My nephew Bobby Bettencourt is the son of the late Dave Bettencourt and the nephew of the late John 'Johnny B.' Bettencourt. Hopefully one day he will be move up to road racing and grace the pages of Roadracing World."
