Montreal, Quebec. May 22, 2012 Royal Distributing will race the MV Agusta F3 675 Triple in Canada!

MV Agusta, the iconic motorcycle brand, will be present on the grid this summer at Canadian racetracks! Royal Distributing rider, Michael Leon, will be racing the new F3 675 Triple in the CSBK National Sportbike series as well as select regional events. This may be the first time that a MV Agusta will be raced at the Canadian National level.

The switch for Leon, the 2012 R.A.C.E Pro Superbike Champion, to the F3 was an obvious choice. The winner of the Best New Design award at the Milan Motorcycle Show has a claimed output of 126hp and a dry weight of 381 lbs in stock trim. The 675 will be a capable race bike and is already showing promising results in World Supersport competition. With four retail locations throughout Ontario, Royal Distributing is the largest MV Agusta dealer in Canada. Also, this season, MV Agusta Canada has stepped up to the plate and is offering an excellent contingency program in CSBK.

The team is busy preparing the new machine and hopes to get some testing done before the racing season begins.

Scott Spark, President Royal Distributing: “We just couldn’t resist getting the new F3 out on the racetrack. MV Agusta has a strong racing heritage. The folks over in Italy design their bikes with racing in mind and we want to give customers and fans a chance to see one in action, in Canada.”

Michael Leon, Team Rider: “I’m excited about this season! The F3 is one of those machines that make you want to ride it when you see it. I had the chance to try one for a few laps during the track day before the National at Mosport last August. Even in stock trim, it had lots of potential. Developing a new bike is always a challenge, but it is one that we are looking forward to. I’ve had success on both inline 4 and twin cylinder machines, the triple will be the best of both worlds! We encourage everyone to get out to the track to cheer us on!”
