KFG Racing / GP Suspension are pleased to announce the addition of road racing industry veteran Sage Wilkinson to its already dynamic team. In this position, Sage will continue to support the companies’ product advancement goals.
Sage has an impressive and expansive background, working in the race industry for over 20 years. Early in his career he worked as a mechanic for Muzzy Kawasaki for Doug Chandler and Aaron Yates. Later he worked for Motorcorsa in Portland OR, a leading Ducati dealer specializing in Ducati, Aprillia and MV Agusta. Most recently Sage operated an independent performance shop servicing racers and street riders with their chassis and engine/tuning needs. Most notable is the success of AMA Pro Racing’s #63 - Devon McDonough aboard his Motorcycle Superstore Yamaha R6 in 2012 attaining a West Coast #10 plate in 600SS, top 10 finishes & top 5 trap speeds at numerous tracks across the United States – using engines built & tuned by Sage Wilkinson.
Along with the many specialized services Sage offered from his personal shop, he was also GP Suspension dealer / service center since 2004. Throughout those years Sage worked with the company offering many design ideas that have continued to advance the ever growing GP Suspension product line.
“When we approached Sage with this new career opportunity, we knew that his addition would be the precise fit. His vast industry knowledge, professionalism, passion and experience as well as his good standing relationship with many of our existing customers, will be invaluable in furthering GP Suspension’s leading product line and exceptional track side service,†says President of KFG Racing & GP Suspension, Barry Wressell.
In the near future, the companies’ will be releasing more information about additional services the shop will be offering in 2013. As well as moving into a new 7000 sq. ft. facility.
