Get Ready For This Weekend’s “Thrilla In Millvilla” As The bLU cRU Comes Out Punching In The Final Round Of The 2015 MotoAmerica Championship

Cypress, CA – September 9, 2015 – Less than 50 miles from Rocky Balboa’s hometown of Philadelphia, PA, two Superbike heavyweights will go head-to-head this weekend in a winner-take-all bout at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ. It’s round 9 of the 2015 MotoAmerica Championship, and on the title card are Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha teammates Josh “The Mississippi Madman” Hayes versus Cameron “CamBeau Slice” Beaubier, in what promises to be the fight of the century. Joining the two Monster Yamaha pugilists are a lineup of bLU cRU riders and Yamaha activities, the likes of which have never been witnessed in the legendary Pine Barrens of South Jersey.

Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha: Hayes & Beaubier

Weighing in at four Championships and 56 career Superbike wins is Josh “Hurricane” Hayes, who is currently in second place in the points standings. The Champ knows what he has to do this weekend. “Win both races,” says Josh. “That’s what I’ve got to do–that’s all I CAN do–to defend this Championship. But, I’ve got experience in my corner. I’ve won a lot of races at New Jersey Motorsports Park, and it’s one of my favorite tracks. Let’s get it on!”

In the other corner is “The Baby-Faced Assassin,” “The Beaudacious Beauflexing Beaubier,” America’s Next Great Moto Hope, Cameron Beaubier. Currently leading the Superbike Championship by 18 points and equal to Josh’s 8 Superbike victories this season with 8 wins of his own, Cameron has been training hard and will come out swinging this weekend aboard his #6 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike. “If I’m going to beat Josh, my team and I have got to bring our ‘A’ game like we’ve done all year. This new R1 is ferocious, and I’ve got the ‘eye of the tiger.’ We’re ready to rumble!”

MotoAmerica Superbike Superpole (Qualifying) is Saturday, September 12, at 2:10 PM EST. Superbike Race 1 will go green on Sunday, September 13, at 12:30 PM EST, and Superbike Race 2 is set for later on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM EST.

Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha: Beach & Gerloff

Coming off his MotoAmerica Supersport Championship-clinching performance in Indy, Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha’s JD Beach will definitely not be resting on his laurels when he gets to New Jersey. JD is a racer and racers always want to win. The Kentuckian will be looking to add a couple more victories to his season total, and show the fans why he’s the Champ.

Meanwhile, JD’s teammate Garrett Gerloff, who won the MotoAmerica Supersport race at the previous round at Indy, has an important mission to accomplish in New Jersey. Currently in second place in the season points standings, but just five points ahead of Wheels In Motion/MotoSport.com/Meen Yamaha’s Josh Herrin, Garrett will be going for the double win at NJMP in order to make it a 1-2 Supersport Championship finish for Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha.

MotoAmerica Supersport Provisional Qualifying is on Friday, September 11, at 1:50 PM EST, and Final Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday morning, September 12, at 9:50 PM EST. Supersport Race 1 will go green on Saturday, September 12, at 1:00 PM EST, and Race 2 is on Sunday, September 13, at 2:45 PM EST.
