Tyler Bowers, Arenacross Champion- Team Babbitts Monster Energy AMSOIL Kawasaki
Bowers is the 2011 and 2012 Arenacross Champion and now he's leading the points early in 2013. The new race format with inverted starts and double main events seem to have brought some new excitement to the AMSOIL Arenacross series featuring Ricky Carmichael's Road to Supercross. It doesn't seem to matter where Tyler starts as he's quick to find the front of the pack and race for the win. This weekend in Grand Rapids, MI he swept all four main events to extend his points lead to 35 over his teammate Zach Ames.
Cole Seely, 250SX West Coast- Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda
After three rounds in the Monster Energy Supercross 250SX West Cole sits third in points. This past weekend at Anaheim 2 he lead a good portion of the race before taking an eventual third. In years past he's won main events and also had a fill-in ride for Trey Canard on the 450 where he showed flashes of brilliance. This weekend the series heads to Oakland, CA for round four.
Chip Munn, Team Owner- Munn Racing
Chip Munn is the owner of a Texas KTM dealership called Munn Racing in Elm Mott, Texas. Chip has had an amateur program for many years but has recently started a pro team. For 2013, his team will be contesting in the East Coast Supercross series as well as the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The team will be comprised of Lance Vincent, Zack Williams, Jake Loberg, Todd Krieg, and Shane Sewell as well as supporting Scotty Wennerstrom in the 450 class and Alex Nagy for the 250 West Coast Lites.
Josh Hayes, 2012 AMA Pro Racing Superbike Champion - Monster Energy Yamaha
Hayes had a spectacular 2012 season winning 16 races and repeating another Championship win. The 2012 Championship marks his 3rd AMA Pro Superbike Championship in a row. In addition Hayes won the 2007 and 2006 AMA Pro Formula Xtreme Championships and the 2003 AMA Pro SuperStock Championship. He has renewed his contract with the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha Team and come back in 2013 to once again defend his title.
Geoff May, AMA Pro Superbike Racer - EBR Hero Team
May wrapped up the 2012 season aboard the Erik Buell Racing 1190RR in a respectable 5th overall. He had one 3rd place podium finish at Infineon Raceway early in the season and four 4th place finishes. In 2011 he raced to a 10th overall. In the past May has raced for the National Guard Suzuki team as well as other top teams.
Roland Sands, Former Road Racer, Owner - RSD
RSD is a leader in the design of motorcycles, motorcycle parts and apparel. Founded in 2005 by Roland Sands, the RSD brand continues to grow into new segments while maintaining its core beliefs. Roland's roots in design and racing made him an unlikely standout in the world of custom motorcycles and product design. However, this combination was the perfect catalyst for creating functional, aggressive, well rounded and aesthetically pleasing designs and custom bikes. It's this combination that keeps RSD on the road to success today.
