Cornerspeed and Cornerspin Announce 2018 Dates and New Lv2 Flat Track School

Cornerspeed Inc, the parent company of Cornerspeed and Cornerspin, looks forward to a great 2018 with a full schedule and the release of our latest school, Cornerspin Lv2 w/ FlatTrack101. Students will now have the opportunity to raise their level of skill for all disciplines, not only through Cornerspin training but with the addition of flat track and TT style training on small displacement bikes. 10 Lightshoes by Gary Kinzler have been added to our inventory to facilitate this training by utilizing a hotshoe on our bigger tracks.

For 2018, Cornerspeed will host a limited number of exclusive events with 8 days this year and VIR (Virginia International Raceway) being the primary facility. Two of the premier events will be the 18th Annual Mid-Atlantic Ducati Owners Trackday/FunDays which incorporate a free Beginner’s Track Orientation school taught by Cornerspeed CEO and Chief instructor, Aaron Stevenson. Stevenson is a full-time professional motorcycle instructor. Says Stevenson, “People ask me ‘What’s your day job?’ because so many folks are part time coaches or provide track days as a part time venture. I respond that teaching and coaching are my full-time profession and have been for almost 20 years. What I do is not a part-time hobby to fill in the gaps. This is all I do. Well, that, and being a dad to an amazing 6-year-old and running a non-profit for veterans called Countersteer hosted at the Cornerspin facility using motorcycles as therapy for PTSD and Combat Stress. So yeah, all of this is my day job.”

Cornerspin is expanding its program and adding more dates due to high demand. The number of repeat students is simply amazing. We will have over 16 schools in 2018 due to high demand and sold out schools. Aaron Stevenson, CEO and Chief Instructor, continues teaching at all of his schools/events as well as coaching athletes on a private basis. Says Stevenson, “Moto GP stars Valentino Rossi with his Camp VR46 and Marc Marquez’ Super Prestigio have been great for exposing fans to the highest level of training for asphalt by learning bike control in low traction hard packed dirt environments. This has created a greater demand for the training that we offer at Cornerspin. With small displacement ‘mini-bikes’, students can train and learn at a very high level with the least amount of risk when compared to training on bigger faster bikes.” He further states, “Cornerspin is unique in that we translate all of the training we do on dirt to how it can be applied to asphalt and other disciplines of riding.”

We hope to see you at one or more schools this coming season!
