Baiocco Wins CIV/Italian Superbike Race One At Mugello

Exciting opening round of the Italian Championship at Mugello

Baiocco dominates in the Superbike al Mugello, while Moto3 Lorenzo Dalla Porta wins after having recovered from 26th to 1st position.In the Supersport shines Caricasulo, while the PreMoto3 arises great interest.

Moto3 race

It was a thrilling start for the fist round of the Italian Championship at Mugello Circuit. The threat of the rain complicated the situation for the Moto3 riders, the first race scheduled at 14:15. In the Superbike race, Baiocco won at Mugello in a race interrupted by the red flag. For the first together with the CIV, the PreMoto3 arouse a great interest. 13 year old Bruno Iearaci (RMU) dominatedand won the 4 stroke category, while 14 year old of the SIC58 racing team claimed the victory in the 2 stroke category.

It was an important day also for the Sportpruction and the National and Honda Trophies, on track for the qualifying practices.

Tomorrow action resumes at Mugello with the races of the Sportproduction, the National Trophy 600 and 1000 and the Honda CBR 600RR Cup.

In the afternoon, starting from the 14:00 the second round of the Moto3 class, the Superbike takes the start at 14:45, the Supersport at 15:30, the PreMoto3 at 16:15.
