However, the forecast is calling for high winds, which could affect how riders set up their gearing for the run to the start/finish line. Practice does not start at Daytona until 9:30 a.m. local time. Superbike and Formula Xtreme will each have a 30-minute practice session, before the 15-lap AMA Superbike race’s scheduled start time of 11:15 a.m. Eastern Time. Pre-race ceremonies for the 68-lap Daytona 200 by Honda Formula Xtreme race should start at 1:30 p.m., followed by the sighting lap at 1:45 p.m. and the race start at 2:00 p.m.
