Facility Renovations Nearing Completion!

Track Renovations
Track Renovations

It’s the first time it’s been done since 1999! Despite some delays because of weather this winter, all of our facility improvements, centered around the repaving of the full course, are nearly complete! During the repaving process, the track was widened by six feet at several locations, which will allow for easier passing on some of the most noteworthy parts of the course. It’s a change we know will make racing at VIR even more exciting for both drivers and fans!

In addition, our north paddock is being paved, including both previously paved and unpaved portions, ensuring an even and smooth surface. It will be complete as soon as Mother Nature allows us to finish!

We’re working on the finishing touches now – a new flag stand, line painting and a little more curbing – and then VIR will be ready to show off its new look. We look forward to seeing you at the track this year and hope you enjoy our offseason improvements!
