Safety First Suzuki partners with Komodo for team apparel line. Safety First Suzuki is proud to announce Komodo Leathers as one of their main sponsors for the upcoming 2006 AMA season. Komodo, makers of premium quality racing leather apparel, will play a significant role in Safety First Suzuki’s success this year. Not only will riders, Tony Meiring and Opie Caylor wear Komodo leathers for the season, Safety First and Komodo have jointly developed a Safety First/Suzuki/Komodo line of apparel that will be distributed nationwide through dealerships. Team owner, Kevin Hanson, related how the deal came to fruition. At Mid-Ohio last year, I met owners, Lee Schwarzentraub and Wayne Wilder of Komodo and realized we both have the same vision, “promoting safety, first and foremost.” Since then we have been working hard at developing a top-level, team branded apparel line second to none. We just finished the design on the jacket and it looks incredible,” exclaimed Hanson. The team jackets will be available in dealerships this April in a leather and textile jacket. Komodo will produce all of Safety First Suzuki’s team wear for the season and a representative will be on hand from Komodo to answer any questions regarding the Komodo apparel line that will be displayed at the AMA races under Safety First Suzuki canopy. Komodo would like to thank Kevin Hanson and his team at Safety First Suzuki for the opportunity to partner with them this season. According to Lee Schwarzentraub, Vice President of Operations, “Komodo and Safety First Suzuki share the same goal; to develop a world class organization, be it a race team or a company, that not only excels at what they do, but makes the community a safer place because of their existence.” Komodo wishes everyone at Safety First Suzuki a very successful season. For 2006, Safety First Suzuki will be campaigning the AMA Supersport and Formula Extreme classes aboard the all-new Suzuki GSX-R 600 piloted by Tony Meiring and Chris “Opie” Caylor. Safety First Suzuki will continue their nationwide safety program of “putting helmets on kid’s heads.” For further Komodo information, please logon to www.komodogear.com
