Ramirez Wins First CCS Florida – Jupiter, FL July 28, 2013 Rodolfo Ramirez became the fifth different rider this season to win a CCS Florida Unlimited Grand Prix when he took the victory during round six July 28 at Palm Beach International Raceway.

With the track still wet from a heavy afternoon thunderstorm and lingering rain, Ramirez grabbed an early lead on his AR Motorsports-sponsored, Pirelli-shod Kawasaki ZX-10R and dominated all six laps from start to finish. The sprint race quickly became a three-rider breakaway with Bruno Silva and Nico Ferreira chasing Ramirez and battling each other for second position.

Ferreira crossed the finish line second but was docked a position for blowing the Turn Two chicane and not giving up the position to Silva. Silva, who rode a Kawasaki ZX-10R, was awarded second place, and Ferreira was credited with third, making it an all-Kawasaki-ZX-10R podium. On the podium, Ramirez exclaimed, “I’m happy I finally won it! I tried so many times. The bike is great. The Pirelli tires are amazing. I love the tires. They’re great. Thermosman did the suspension. I can not say enough about that. I want to thank everybody involved. My mechanics, Rubin, Isaac, Ivan, and my sponsors AR Motorsports and Riva Motorsports.” The top three Shootout riders were battling each other all day. Ramirez also won the Unlimited Superbike race, finished second in Unlimited Supersport, and took third in GTO. Silva won the GTO race and finished second in Unlimited Superbike. And, Ferreira won the Unlimited Superbike class, finished second in GTO, and placed third in Unlimited Superbike. Jordan Strange was the biggest winner of the day with four victories in the Amateur ranks. Strange won the Ultralight Superbike, Lightweight Grand Prix, Lightweight Superbike, and Lightweight Supersport races on his Suzuki SV650. He also finished fourth in the GT Lights class.
