The Canadian National SV Cup and the four classes of the Women’s Cup Challenge are Pirelli spec classes, so the championships were pretty much in the Pirelli bag before a tire ever hit the track, but each champion still deserves recognition for coming out on top. In the SV Cup it was Karl Daigle, while Shawna Aron won Expert Open Sportbike and Marie-Josee Boucher claimed the crown in Expert 600 Sportbike. In the two Novice classes the champion is Vanessa Gareau. The largest field in Canadian National Road Racing is Amateur 600 Sportbike, open to all tire competitors. In that class Mark Douglas took the championship in a season that saw every race won by a Pirelli rider, a class track record set at every track by a Pirelli rider, and a sweep of the top 13 places in the championship.
