Keigwins@thetrack offers Club Racing School

2004 Schedule enhanced with new skills class

Los Altos Hills, CA – Keigwins@theTrack, (K@TT) the number one trackday organization in northern California has announced its new course offerings for the 2004 trackday season. Included in the offering of more than 50 schools and practice events will be a special, one-day “race training” school. The school will focus entirely on race prep and racing skills.

“We’re excited about offering local club racers a chance to improve their skills through guidance from some of the country’s finest club racers.” touts Lance Keigwin, President of Keigwins@theTrack. “There are plenty of riding schools available today, however very few teach specific to the world of competitive racing. We’ve planned a curriculum that will show racers how to be faster and compete more successfully, and we’ve enhanced the learning opportunity by providing accomplished veteran racers to work with, one-on-one.”

The first event will be held May 4th at Thunderhill Park in Willows, CA. Enrollment will be limited to two groups of 25 riders, to ensure plenty of personal instruction. Students will learn techniques in class and on the track that will help them reduce their lap times, improve their passing skills, excel at race starts, understand and apply better racing lines, and become more effective at braking and carrying corner speed, while staying more relaxed and confident during competition.

K@TT will host the event using well-known AFM champions and its own staff of professional instructors. The AFM coaches have been hand picked for their riding talent and teaching ability. John Daley, a novice AFM racer who’s already enrolled in the school says, “School instructors need to be more than fast and knowledgeable. They need to love teaching and be able to articulate what they do and clearly explain rider weaknesses. I’ve been to many Keigwin track events and I appreciate that K@TT instructors are motivated, knowledgeable and terrific at troubleshooting. I’m really thrilled about this school.”
