NOTIFICATION OF SANCTION

To: Niccolo ANTONELLI, No. 23 of the Moto3 Class

Dear Sir,

According to the Sporting Rules of the 2018 FIM GP World Championship Regulations and the FIM Disciplinary and Arbitration Code, we inform you that a sanction has been inflicted upon you.

Motive

On 22 September 2018 during the Moto3 FP3 session of the GRAN PREMIO MOVISTARDE ARAGON, you were found to be riding slowly in three (3) or more sectors in excess of the 110% limit of your fastest sectors. This contravenes the specific instructions given to all Moto3 teams, and it is considered irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors. It is therefore an infringement of Article 1.21.2 of the FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations.

Sanction

For the above reasons, the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel has imposed on you a 12 Grid Position penalty for the Moto3 Race of the GRAN PREMIO MOVISTARDE ARAGON. (in accordance with articles 3.2.1 and 3.3.2.3)

Right of Appeal

According to Articles 3.4.2, this decision is final.
