MORAIS JOINS CIA LANDLORDS INSURANCE HONDA

SHERIDAN MORAIS is the third rider to join CIA Landlords Insurance Honda for the 2015 season and the South African has his sights firmly set on the Championship podium.

Riding for PTR during 2013, the 29-year-old from Johannesburg’s attack on the Championship was hampered by injury. He comes into 2015 with renewed determination.

Shez said: “I am extremely happy to have the opportunity to ride for this top team in the World Supersport Championship. I feel like I am getting this shot at a WSS title at the perfect time of my career; with me being fully fit and having a team that is used to bringing home silverware. It is a great feeling to go into this off season with high hopes which is a massive motivator and I can’t wait to get going.”

Shez joins Riccardo Russo and Martin Cardenas at CIA Landlords Insurance Honda. A fourth and final racer will be announced soon.

Simon Buckmaster, CIA Landlords Insurance Honda Team Manager, said: “Shez rode for us in 2013 but we did not get the results we both wanted. He was injured early in the season and we took time to get the balance of our bike right for him.

“We stayed in touch and both knew that we had unfinished business and needed to put the record straight. When Shez became available we got chatting and we have our chance to show the real potential of Shez and the CIA Landlords Insurance Honda which is a much better package now. It is back to the level when we challenged for the title and that is what we intend to do in 2015. Welcome back, Shez.”
