If you were thinking about donating to the Roadracing World Action Fund this year, now would be the perfect time. The latest shipment of $28,500 worth of soft barriers ordered by the fund has just landed in the U.S., but will wipe out the road racing account, which now stands at $16,032.79.

Year end 2005 and 2006 year-to-date contributor acknowledgements follow, with many people consistently donating to the Action Fund year after year.

Most Valuable Contributor Award recipients Fred and Adrienne Bittner have been steady contributors to the Roadracing World Action Fund since 2002, donating more than the equivalent of the cost of one section of soft air barrier, ($2900) each year. With their $400 year-end contribution to the dirt track fund, the Bittner’s overall total is now $12,450.

The Joseph C. & Esther Foster Foundation has donated another $5000, for a grand total of $21,000. Other repeat contributors include Charles Buse, adding $300 to his former donation of $500 for a total of $800; Peter Laga, $50 “for Wilson’s Walls”, with a grand total of $100; Scott Bunn, $30 for a total of $55; automatic payroll deduction participant Elaine Seasly,$49.40, for a total of $98.80; Sam Shiller, $25, for a total of $50; Randy Sinisi, $25, for a total of $150; and Gary McQuiston, Sr. added $50 for a total of $200, both donations made in memory of AMA official Bill Parr. William Pritchard sent in $100, “a little bit more in Vince’s name,” adding to the $50 he sent in earlier in honor of injured racer Vincent Haskovec. Pritchard’s overall total donated stands at $200. Aron Loyd’s latest donation of $50, inspired by Roger Hayden “after reading his tale of testing the Airfence at Barber,” brings his total to $125.

For the second year in a row, Trackdaz and Advanced Kawasaki held a Daytona 200 viewing party/fundraiser/raffle at Hooters in Anaheim, California, this year raising $2000 for the Action Fund, nearly doubling last year’s total of $1050. And Max McAllister/Traxxion Dynamics’ ongoing fundraising efforts brought in another $600–the Most Valuable Contributor Award recipient’s grand total now reaching $7000.

The Roadracing World Action Fund’s all-time total now stands at $431,372.14 thanks to contributions from members of the motorcycle racing community. Cash on hand stands at $16,032.79 for road race and $8,196.51for dirt track. Accounting details can be found at the end of this post.
