DUCATI ANNOUNCES RECORD SIX MONTH RETAIL SALES IN NORTH AMERICA Strong sales growth continues throughout North American Ducati business during first six months of 2006 Cupertino, CA – The June sales result of new Ducati motorcycles sold in North America set a new record, with over 1100 units being retail registered. The one month result put an exclamation point on an already very strong half-year result for Ducati North America, with vehicle unit sales up 16% since the first of the year and Motorcycle Related Parts (MRP) up 25%. New unit sales growth was led by Canada, which is up an astounding 56% year-to-date, followed by California and New York. In the MRP category, the accessories group is up by a whopping 47%, year-to-date. “Everyone at Ducati North America and many of our dealers have been working their tails off for the past few years and we are finally reaching critical mass with our business. This momentum allows us to offer a range of motorcycles, accessories and apparel that is growing each season and generates profit for our dealers.” said Michael Lock, CEO of Ducati North America and Ehlert’s Powersports “2006 Executive of the Year”. “It has been a year of steady and healthy growth, and we are not planning on slowing down any time soon.” With the launch of many new products including the Desmosedici RR and the Hypermotard, the future will continue to be strong for both Ducati and Ducati dealers throughout North America.
