As a five-time Motocross World Champion, four-time Trans-AMA Series Champion, and winner of 16 races in Europe’s two most prestigious series, the Trophee and Motocross des Nations, DeCoster’s name is synonymous with the sport of motocross. So much so that he is commonly referred to as ‘The Man’. When he retired from riding, DeCoster went to work for the teams, first as an advisor to Team Honda, then in 1995 he joined Suzuki as their Team Manager. Recently, he signed Ricky Carmichael to a deal that will bring the Honda ace over to Suzuki in 2005.
