LOOKING FOR SOME FUN IN THE NORTHWEST THIS SUMMER!

Cyclestar.com is helping to promote the 9th Annual Seattle Children’s Ride this summer June 27th by inviting Paul Yaffe of the Discovery Channels “American Choppers” show with his Discovery Channel Bike to join in on the festivities. The money raised from the Children’s Ride will benefit uncompensated care and diabetes research at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.

The event will feature an escorted motorcycle ride lead by Paul, and Chad Eaton from the Seattle Seahawks. The ride will start at the new Seattle Seahawk Stadium and proceed to Pacific Raceways where guests will enjoy the All Harley Drag Races, musical entertainment, gourmet BBQ, silent auction and vendors from across the Northwest.

Children’s Hospital provides state-of–the art care to the most seriously ill children in Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Many of the children are from families who do not have the means to pay for the full cost of care. No child is ever denied care due to their financial resources

Each year Children’s see approximately 200 patients with new onset diabetes of either type 1 (juvenile) or type 2. Type 1 diabetes is a disease, which strikes children suddenly and makes them insulin dependent for life. Type l diabetes is one of the most costly, chronic diseases of childhood and one you never outgrow. Their goal is to support the hospital in its worthy mission of providing care to all children of the Northwest and to assist research in efforts to find a cure for diabetes.

The bottom line is that it’s sure to be a day of fun for all who participate and will help out a lot of kids in the process. To find out more about the event go to: http://www.childrens-ride.com
