CMRA Coming To Hallett Motor Racing Circuit This Weekend

This weekend, September 16-18, 2016, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) heads to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit near Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the its second stop of the season at the challenging 1.8 mile, counter-clockwise 11-turn road course.

The weekend’s activities begin Friday with an all-day CMRA racer practice and CMRA License school beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and pre-registration is not required. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 6:30 am Friday, September 16. Tickets for the Annual Awards banquet and Golf Tournament will also be on sale this weekend, and are available in registration.

Saturday’s schedule begins with a full slate of Mini and Lightweight Sprint races, including the Rainbow Sox Racing Jr. Motard, Aces High Racing – Formula 8, and Altus Lawton Motorsports – Ultra Lightweight GP Novice classes.

The Island Racing Services Solo 30 Heavyweight/Middleweight race, rescheduled from the NOLA round in June, will start Saturday morning’s events. The regularly scheduled Solo 30 HW / MW race will run 18 laps starting at 11:00 a.m, followed by Solo 30 LW/ULW race.

The fourth round of CMRA Championship/US National Endurance race begins promptly at 12:30 p.m. with 6 hours of challenging racing action and features the Remember Brooks Gremmels – A Superbike Endurance, and Promomin/eni Oil – C Superbike Endurance classes. This is also the final round for the USNE season. There will be a podium awards ceremony and a meet and greet at the track immediately following the endurance race.

Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of competitive Big Bike sprint races. Among the exciting classes not to be missed is the M4 Exhaust/P1 Racing – Formula 1 Expert class, and the Century Trucks and Vans – Formula 2 Expert with the winners going to the lunchtime podium.

A few other purse paying classes include; Century Trucks and Vans – D Superbike Expert ($525), Georgetown Diesel and Complete Automotive Formula 40 HW Expert ($150), and South Central Race Center – C Superstock Expert ($185).The AG Horn-sponsored “Go Girl” award returns for the second year. The $100 cash award is presented to the female racer who has the best combined finishes of the weekend in at least four races. The new “Racer’s Race” award of $50 and a custom T-shirt will also be given to the racer who overcomes the most setbacks to compete that weekend. Gates are open Thursday from 6-10 p.m. for camping and set-up. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $25 on Thursday, and Friday, $20 on Saturday, and just $15 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. There is a $5 wristband refund for participants leaving Saturday night – turn in your wristband at the gate as you leave. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.

Please note that no pets are allowed at any of the CMRA race events.
