American Day returns to Superstock with Agro-On WIL Racedays Honda

Former European Superstock 600 runner-up Joshua Day will return to the World Superbike Championship in 2014, joining England’s Kyle Smith to race the new Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade ‘SP’ in the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup. Day claimed two pole positions and two wins from six podiums in the 2011 season for Racedays and he will be looking to make his mark in the 1000cc class.

The 24 year old from Orlando, Florida said: ”I want to thank the team and Honda for giving me this great opportunity to come back and race with them. I’m glad I’ll be racing in front of the World Superbike paddock again, because I feel like I still have some unfinished business there. It will be my first full season on a 1000 but I’m going to give it my all every time out, and hopefully it will bring me even greater opportunities in the future.”

Gerry Bryce, Team Owner: ”It’s a pleasure to welcome Josh back to Racedays and we’re grateful to Honda, WIL Sport management and Agro-On mini snacks for helping us to put such a strong team together. We know it will be a challenge as we step up to the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup – but both Josh Day and Kyle Smith are proven race winners, the new Honda Fireblade SP shows great potential and we have an experienced, enthusiastic team led by Jan Breedveld. We’re looking forward now to testing in March before the first race at Aragon in April”
