Bobby Fong Switches to Daytona 675R Pensacola, Fla. (May 30, 2013) – AMA Pro Racing standout Bobby Fong will race a Daytona 675R for D and D Cycles Triumph in the Daytona SportBike class beginning this weekend at Road America. “I’d like to thank the McLendon’s for the opportunity to run the new Daytona and become part of the Triumph family,” said Bobby Fong. “We’ve had some good initial tests and I’m really excited about the rest of the season.” The Stockton, California native started the season strong with a podium finish at Daytona International Speedway. In 2012, Fong had three podium finishes, seven Top 5 finishes, and ranked eighth in the season points championship. “We couldn’t be happier to have a rider of Bobby’s caliber riding for D and D Cycles Triumph,” said Rob McLendon. “Our dealership has enjoyed over 30 years of success in Road Racing, Flat Track and SuperMoto. Now, we have an incredible combination with Bobby and the new Daytona 675R.” One of the oldest Triumph dealerships in the country, Pensacola, Florida’s D and D Cycles is owned and operated by Robert McLendon, Jr. and his wife Julie. The dealership’s racing and parts departments are managed by their son, Rob McLendon III. Team sponsors include Castrol, Triumph, GE Capital, FreedomRoad Financial, Lucky Brand, Arrow and DynoJet.
