I always wanted to race motorcycles since I was a kid. I never had the opportunity to get into motorsports. When I turned 18, Mom couldn't tell me no anymore, & I bought my first streetbike ('05 ZX636 Ninja)..............I totaled it.
After the bandages came off, I bought another bike. A friend of mine one day came to me concerned to say, "I think you should go to track". He wrangled up a brochure for a free 'try the track' session & I never looked back!
My face hurt from smiling so big that day, I'll never forget that!! As long as I can throw a leg over, Ill ride!!!
For me, road racing has had its ups & downs. Just like any sport. At first I didnt have enough cash to throw around so my seasons were always cut short. Or I'd be doing really good in a race & run out of gas the last lap.....Bummer!! Of course, there's always crashing. It happens.
The comrodery is a true strengthened bond in our sport. Every one helps eachother!!
Ive had good finishes on podium & embarrasing results due to rider error.
I do give it a go & I enjoy doing it!!
As I see myself & results improving, one can only wonder how far they can go.
