World Superbike: Leon Camier Will Miss Next Two Rounds

Ryuichi Kiyonari keen to return to Great Britain for round 8 of the WSBK season.

Ryuichi Kiyonari will be the Moriwaki Althea Honda team’s sole flagbearer at the upcoming Prosecco DOC UK round of the Superbike world championship taking place at Donington Park this weekend. Team-mate Leon Camier will miss the next two rounds despite the good progress he has been making in terms of his recovery in recent weeks.

Ryuichi Kiyonari cannot wait to race in the UK, a country he loves and where he can count on many fans, having completed no less than ten BSB seasons and taking the British title on three occasions, in 2006, 2007 and 2010.

Ryuichi Kiyonari:

“I can’t wait to race in England. It’s like my home round as I raced there for many years, not only at Donington Park but at many British tracks. I have great memories and feel at home there, because I have many friends still living in the area and the fans are generally fantastic. The track is nice, and for once it’s one I know well, right down to the weather we can expect, the temperature and the layout. The track is kind of split in two parts, with a fast one that is “very” fast, and the slower one which is a kind of a “slalom” track. It won’t be easy as but I’m going to really enjoy the weekend.”
