This off-season we’re running a series showing your motorcycles. Not just your road racing bikes, but your streetbikes, motocross bikes, dirt bikes, pit bikes, mini bikes, trials bikes, land-speed bikes, drag bikes, speedway bikes, whatever you’ve got. If you have more than one bike, send photos of them all–alone or with you! Send in-focus bike photos (as jpeg files) along with the make, model and year of each bike and your name, city and state, plus the name of the photographer, to [email protected]. By sending us the photos, you are certifying that you own the rights to the photos and are giving us permission to feature them on roadracingworld.com. They may be posted on roadracingworld.com during slow news days.

Seen here in our 31st installment are photos of CCS racer Zach Mixon, age 37, from Davenport, Iowa, where he lives with his 14-year-old daughter. Mixon races in the CCS Mid-West Region under the Reckless Racing banner, and rides a 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000. His girlfriend Kelly Jacobsen shot and submitted the photos.

In his rider profile on roadracingworld.com, Mixon writes, “I have been riding motorcycles for 31 years now…it all started at the age of 6. I fell in love with them, and racing became a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. In 2011, I was able to attend California Superbike School at Virginia International Raceway where I completed the first two levels. In 2012 I was able to go back and complete levels 3 and 4.

“In May 2012 I attended my first track day at Black Hawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, Illinois and feel like it has become a second home to me. I earned my CCS race license in September 2012, and have been competing since. 2013 was my first full year of racing on my 750 GSX-R, and I competed in Rookies Cup GTO, Unlimited Superbike, Unlimited Grand Prix, Heavyweight SuperSport and Heavyweight Superbike. In 2014 I (raced)… my 1000 GSX-R….doing the Unlimited Superbike and Unlimited Grand Prix.

“I am a machinist at Cobham Life Support in Davenport, Iowa and I am also in my 6th year of teaching MSF classes at Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine Community Colleges.”

Mixon adds that his goal is “To be the overall champion in Unlimited Superbike or Unlimited GP” in his CCS region.
