Big Gun Exhaust to Support Tuned Racing in MotoAmerica AMA racing for 2015

Big Gun Exhaust and Tuned Racing have partnered for the 2015 racing season. With a long history supporting Tuned Racing rider, Jason Aguilar, the opportunity to reunite was a no-brainer for Aguilar. “Big Gun started supporting me back in 2011 when I was riding a Honda RS450. Big Gun made me a custom exhaust that I used to set 11 track class records on that bike. When I got on a 600, Big Gun Exhaust made me an amazing exhaust that I was able to win championships with. Last year, the team had another exhaust company, so I had to switch, but that deal expired and the team put the Big Gun system back on my bike for the opening AFM round this year. After setting AFM class records in 600 Production and 600 Superbike on a tired old AMA motor from last season while running on pump gas, the team decided to take a closer look at the Big Gun system. The results had them really excited”, explained Jason.

After running dyno tests, an excited Bryce Prince called and said “The Big Gun system made outstanding power and torque. I immediately wanted to know if Big Gun would be interested in supporting the team.”

A quick phone call was made to Kyle Tiedeman at Big Gun who quickly jumped at the opportunity. “We loved working with Jason, and the opportunity to work with a MotoAmerica/AMA team came along at the perfect time. We have been looking for the right way to return to motorcycle road racing, and this was a perfect fit. Our R&D Department immediately went to work and produced an improved version of the exhaust Jason was using, and delivered 5 complete systems to Tuned Racing in a week and a half.”

Team Owner Mike Pond stated that the new system creates outstanding power and torque while being even quieter than the previous Big Gun system. “I cannot imagine any other manufacturer that could, or would, produce a product that performs this well in such a short timeline. Big Gun really knows their stuff. We could not be happier. We hope to show the rest of the racing world what Tuned Racing and Big Gun Exhaust are capable of doing at Road Atlanta on April 16 and 17 for the first rounds of Superstock 600 and Supersport” said an enthusiastic Mike Pond.
