Cycle Gear title sponsoring KWR Ducati team for Laguna Seca MotoAmerica round

TUCSON, Ariz. (July 8) — The KWR Ducati team heads to Laguna Seca this coming weekend along the WorldSBK series for the 6th round of the MotoAmerica Superbike championship. Kyle will ride the #33 Ducati Panigale V4 R title sponsored by Cycle Gear with secondary sponsor SC Project Exhaust.

After a tough weekend at Utah Motorsports Campus, Wyman is looking to make good on lessons learned in the first half of the season on the new Panigale V4 R, and after testing at Inde Motorsports Ranch this past week, is feeling confident that new setup and parts will bring the Cycle Gear Ducati closer to the front at Laguna Seca.

“With the big break between Utah and Laguna, I’ve been working hard on the bike in Arizona and putting in some laps out at Inde,” Wyman said. “I’m super excited to have Cycle Gear on board as our title sponsor again this year and I can’t thank those guys enough for stepping in and believing in this program.”

With MotoAmerica running along the WorldSBK series at Laguna, it offers an opportunity for KWR to cooperate further with the Ducati Corse Factory Team and continue a strong relationship that has helped Wyman get up to speed on the Panigale. KWR will be receiving a Superbike-spec engine from the Corse department at the track which will offer significant performance upgrades to the KWR team, who have been running a stock spec engine for the entirety of 2019 up to this point.

“Jumping into this program with a new bike happened so late, that this season has been a step-by-step development process,” Wyman said. “We have been tending to problems as they arise, and tackling them one by one. We still have some steps to make in the handling department, which will hopefully be helped with some consultation with the WorldSBK team this weekend, but we are getting closer and being able to throw in a full Superbike spec engine to kick off the second half of the season will also help us tremendously. Expectations are high and I look forward to putting in a good showing for the Cycle Gear guys and all of our supporters.”

Cycle Gear will have their Mega Tent at the Laguna Seca event this weekend with special event pricing on a wide variety of products, including 6D Helmets and Alpinestars gear, partners and protectors of Kyle Wyman and the KWR Ducati Team. Wyman will also be attending a Cycle Gear Fan Party at their San Jose location, Thursday evening July 11th from 5pm-8pm to sign autographs and mingle with fans.

“Our partnership with KWR continues to grow,” said Andy Johnson, Sr. Director of Business Development for Cycle Gear, Inc.. “Kyle continues to be a tremendous ambassador for the Cycle Gear brand, as well as his safety partners in Alpinestars and 6D Helmets. We are proud to support him as title sponsor for the Laguna Seca round. We are also happy to announce that Kyle will be attending our Grand Opening of a new store in Manchester, New Hampshire on July 20th. There couldn’t have been better timing to help Kyle and his pursuit of success aboard the beastly Ducati Panigale V4 R.”
