Gene Romero (R.I.P.): Celebration Of Life Today In Southern California

A celebration of life for 1970 AMA Grand National Champion and 1975 Daytona 200 race winner Gene Romero (R.I.P.) is being held between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time today, June 22nd, at Southern California Triumph at SoCal Motorcycles, 515 W. Lambert Rd., Brea, CA 92831. 

Romero passed away May 12 in Fullerton, California. He was 71.

Other famed racers scheduled to attend and sign autographs at the event include: David Aldana, Don Emde, Bubba Shobert, and Sammy Tanner.

The event will also include guest speakers, live music, and a food truck.

Commemorative T-shirts reminiscent of the leathers Romero wore in 1970 will be sold for $20 each will all proceeds going to Romero’s family. The T-shirts can also be purchased online at www.ascotmotorsports.com.
