CMRA at NOLA Motorsports Park This Weekend

This coming weekend, March 22-24, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) hosts its second round of the 2019 race season at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana. The track is located just 20 minutes southwest of downtown New Orleans off of Business 90.

Friday is a full day of practice, CMRA Racer School, and Track Experience for the track day riders that want to experience the same track the racers are racing. Bring a friend along to ride Track Experience and help you pit! Track Experience is $150 and offers an optional mock race at the end of the day! Registration and Tech open for all activities at 6:30 a.m. The full weekend’s event schedule can be found here: http://www.cmraracing.com/content.php?15-2017-Sch…

Saturday’s schedule includes Big Bike, Mini and Ultra-Lightweight Sprint races, and the opening round of the CMRA Ultra-Lightweight Endurance Series with an 8 hour race. The day concludes with the trophy presentation and trackside Meet & Greet.

Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of competitive CMRA Championship Sprint races. Among the exciting classes not to be missed is The Realtime Group/Shakespeare – Formula 40 HW Expert, JBM Enterprises – Formula 40 HW Novice, and a special sponsor for this round PlasticSurgeryRacing.com – Formula 2 Expert.

Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend tickets to the event are only $20 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Kids 12 and younger are free. There is a $5 wristband refund for participants leaving Saturday night – turn in your wristband at the gate as you leave. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.

Please note that NO PETS are allowed at any of the CMRA race events.
