15-year-old CMRA Racer Nick Doolan will be joining the competitors’ ranks of the 2015 MotoAmerica KTM Cup. Doolan, a Houston, Texas native, just completed his novice season with CMRA aboard a 2009 Kawasaki ZX-6R. Doolan finished second overall in four CMRA class championships: B Superstock Novice, B Superbike Novice, C Superstock Novice, and C Superbike Novice.

Doolan also rode at the WERA Grand National Finals, where he also took home four podiums, finishing in first place in WERA National Challenge 600 Superbike Novice, second in WERA National Challenge 750 Superbike Novice and WERA National Sportsman Series 600 Superbike Novice, and third in WERA National Challenge 600 Superstock Novice.

Doolan had this to say about his decision to race the KTM Cup, “I am really excited about the opportunity to race the KTM RC390 in the newly-formed series headed by MotoAmerica. Our plans are to also race with the CMRA as an Expert on a 600 as well as the Lightweight classes for more seat time on the KTM. I really want to thank my 2015 sponsors: Lone Star Track Days, BD Trackside, Vesrah brakes, Dunlop USA, Colin Edwards Texas Tornado Boot Camp, Motonation, Dave Tiede Racing, Moto-D, Fondren Orthopedic and Comet Leathers.”
