This weekend, May 15 – 17, 2015, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) heads to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit near Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the First Annual Westby Classic. The round is named in honor of CMRA racer Dane Westby, who was fatally injured in a street crash earlier this year. This will be the first stop for the CMRA this season at the challenging 1.8 mile, counter-clockwise 11-turn road course.

The weekend’s activities begin Friday with an all day CMRA racer practice and CMRA License school beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and pre-registration is not required. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 6:30 am Friday, May 15.

Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Mini sprint races followed by 6 Hour Lightweight Endurance race, and concluding with Round 1 of the Team 60 races.

There will be a special podium awards ceremony at the track immediately following the finalized results of Saturday’s endurance event. After the podium will be the “Slow Pit Bike Race” to benefit the Jennifer Millsap family, another CMRA racer who recently succumbed after a long battle with cancer.

Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of competitive Big Bike sprint races. Among the exciting classes not to be missed is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation / P1 Racing Formula 1 Expert class. In addition to a cash purse totaling $14,000 paid out to the top Formula 1 Expert finishers over the course of the 2015 season, a portion of each entry fee is donated to Breast Cancer Research.

A few of the other weekend purse paying classes include, 212Decals.com – A Superbike Expert ($150), South Central Race Center C Superstock ($185) and Leather and Lace Racing Leathers Repair ($150). In addition, the new AG Horn sponsored “Jennifer Millsap Get It Girl” award is $100 for the female racer with the combined best finishes of the weekend in at least three races. Live timing and scoring is available for all the races via the Race Monitor App on mobile devices and online at cmraracing.com/timing.html . Keep up with the action if you can’t make it out to the track!

Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $20 on Thursday, and Friday, $15 on Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.

Please note that no pets are allowed at any of the CMRA race events.
