A brand new, never-registered 2014 Triumph Trophy SE luxury touring motorcycle is being sold to benefit the Roadracing World Action Fund, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping prevent injuries at motorcycle racetracks by buying and deploying soft barriers like those made by Airfence .

The motorcycle was donated to the Roadracing World Action Fund by George Latus, who has owned professional road racing and dirt track race teams; Latus owns the Latus Motors Triumph dealership in Portland, Oregon. Latus donated the former demo bike to be sold with the entire proceeds from the sale going to the Roadracing World Action Fund.

The Roadracing World Action Fund is selling this donated, never-registered 2014 Triumph Trophy 1200 SE luxury touring motorcycle to benefit the fund and help purchase and deploy more soft barriers.

The Triumph Trophy SE is powered by a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC 1215cc (with a bore and stroke of 85.0mm x 71.4mm) inline three-cylinder engine that is claimed to produce 132 peak horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 89 lbs.-ft. of torque at 6,450 rpm, with a six-speed transmission. It has a twin-spar frame with 43mm inverted front forks and shaft final drive, and comes with Pirelli tires, a 120/70-17 front and a 190/55-17 rear. It has a 6.6-gallon fuel tank, Lunar Silver paint, and 309 demo-ride miles on its odometer.

Features on the Triumph Trophy SE include: Ride-by-Wire (RbW) throttle, traction control, linked brakes, ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), cruise control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), electronically adjustable suspension (including spring preload), an electronically adjustable windscreen, electronically adjustable headlights, manually adjustable seat height (between 30.3 and 31.1 inches), heated grips, detachable 31-liter hard cases, and a sound system that includes XM Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and compatibility with iPods and iPhones.

The 2014 Triumph Trophy 1200 SE comes with detachable side cases.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for a 2014 Triumph Trophy SE was $18,999.

The Roadracing World Action fund holds all of the documentation and paperwork for the motorcycle, which is ready to be registered and licensed in all 50 American states.

Local delivery in Southern California is possible, but the expense to ship the motorcycle outside of Southern California will be the responsibility of the buyer.

The Roadracing World Action Fund will sell this motorcycle to the person who makes the best offer over $7,999 before 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time on December 31st. The Roadracing World Action Fund will then contact the person who submitted the highest offer and make the final arrangements. The winning bidder’s name or company logo (24 inches long, with logo subject to approval by RWAF and MotoAmerica) will be applied on the upper right corner of a section of Airfence deployed at a MotoAmerica (or other racing event) in the United States—giving the bidder credit for doing a good thing, on top of getting a great motorcycle!

Offers should be submitted via email to [email protected]. To be considered, offers must include full name and contact information.

Bidders should consult with a tax accountant regarding tax deductibility.

The Roadracing World Action Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping reduce injuries at motorcycle racetracks through motorcycle safety education efforts and by encouraging and facilitating the use of soft barriers at racing events. Since its founding in 2001, the Roadracing World Action Fund has raised approximately $2 million in donations, purchased and deployed hundreds of soft barriers around the United States, and helped prevent or reduce the severity of injuries to many motorcycle racers and track day riders.
