Originally Arguiñano & Gines Racing (AGR Team), now Baiko Racing Team, is happy to announce the re-signing of American Benny Solis to campaign in the FIM CEV Moto2 Championship!

The Californian was first seen in the European Moto2 Championship in 2018 and he scored multiple top 10 finishes while nursing an injury throughout the second half of the season. After a long but productive off-season, Solis returns in much healthier conditions and he is currently in the middle of a great pre-season training program. Testing will begin on March 12th in Albacete Circuit, Spain and it will be here that we get a first glance at Benny entering his second season aboard the Baiko Racing Team Kalex Moto2 machine.

Anscari Nadal (Technical Director – Baiko Racing Team)

“We see a lot of potential in Benny. It was a pity that last year he could not show the team his best performance because he was dealing with an injury almost all season. When he came to Spain and got settled in, soon he had to stop his training because of this injury. Now he is healthy and with the proper training, it will make a huge difference! We believe in him and although we had some other good options, we want to keep Benny because we know he can do a great job and we have high hopes for him. In general, we were happy with our team and we resigned both Edgar Pons and Benny Solis on the Moto2 side. With more experience for Benny on the Moto2 bike and doing a good pre-season, we hope we can start the season strong.”

Benny Solis (Moto2 racer – Baiko Racing Team)

“I want to thank my team for the opportunity to race for them again, it’s very exciting to be back in Europe and with familiar faces! In general, I’m feeling healthier and we’ve had a great off-season so far. Back home in California, I rode a Kalex Moto2 bike a couple of times and I felt pretty good so that’s got me anxious to get on the Baiko Racing Team bike and start testing. I know all the tracks now and I learned a lot from last season, we’ll be doing our best and I believe we can start the season on a positive note. I want a give a big thanks my family for all the support and personal sponsors for helping make this happen! Hovick Babajanian, Dainese USA, AGV, 2-Wheel Legal, Bo, American Honda Motor Company, From The Ashes Embroidery, 111 management, and Deft City Engineering.”

The FIM CEV Repsol Series will commence April 7th in Estoril Portugal! You can follow the races live on the FIM CEV Youtube channel and keep up with the racing updates on the Baiko Racing Team and Benny Solis’ social media. Instagram: @baikoracingteam & @bennysolis35.
