PJ Jacobsen Appearing at Javits Center Motorcycle Show on December 14

World SuperSport Racer PJ Jacobsen will be greeting fans and signing autographs at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show at NYC’s Javits Center on Sunday, December 14.

The appearance is sponsored by SOUL Custom (soulcustom.com) and REV’IT! (revitusa.com). PJ will be meeting fans at SOUL Custom’s booth, #1505, from 12:30 to 1:00 and 2:30 to 3:00.

PJ is coming off of an excellent rookie season in the World Super Sport Championship, earning 6th Place on his Intermoto Ponyexpres Kawasaki 600.

PJ said, “The guys at Intermoto Ponyexpres and my crew chief, two time World Champion Andrew Pitt, all did a great job taking care of the bikes, while I focused my attention on learning the ins and outs of the new tracks.”

To date, PJ has been building a career based upon learning new tracks. From his Saddleman’s Rookie of the Year honor for AMA DirtTrack, to excellent podium showings on the AMA Road Racing circuit, to a fantastic first year in the British SuperBike Championship, to a couple one-off wins on Superstock and SuperSport at Mondelo and Assen, and now in World SuperSport, PJ is a world-travelling motorcycle-racing power-house who seems at his best when he is under pressure to be learning new things.

PJ shrugs off the praise with a smile. He said, “I am really grateful to have the opportunity to race in all these different championships with so many talented riders. It’s really been great training.”

His sixth-place comes after a year of incredibly hard work and a lot of travel to unfamiliar tracks. PJ gave good showings wherever in the world he raced, and earned himself trips to the podium with a 3rd Place podium at Misano, Italy, and a 2nd Place podium at Jerez, Spain.

But even after seeing all his hard work earn excellent results, PJ is quick to share the credit for his successes.

“It’s really my sponsors that deserve so much of the credit,” PJ said. “REV’IT!, Shoei, and SIDI all provide the gear that keeps me safe, Dawn International and Irish Bike Magazine help take care of me in Europe and the UK, DesignStar3 and Teterboro RAMS from the US are big supporters, and Barry Gilsenan from Celtic Racing is always a valuable mentor.”

“And, of course,” he adds in, “there are always the fans. Not everyone can travel to see World SuperSport races, so that’s why I am looking forward to this opportunity to go the Javits show this weekend.”

We are looking forward to a fun weekend in NYC, and another great season of breaking personal-bests in 2015. Thanks to everyone for their support!
