STIHL Extends Sponsorship Of British Superbike Championship For Seventh Year

STIHL has signed on to sponsor the British Superbike Championship for a seventh season.

STIHL POWERS INTO SEVENTH YEAR OF MCE BRITISH SUPERBIKE SPONSORSHIP

The MCE British Superbike Championship and outdoor power tool company STIHL GB have extended their long-standing partnership into a seventh year ahead of the 2014 season.

STIHL’s ground-breaking innovation is renowned worldwide and the outdoor power tool brand will continue to be showcased at MCE British Superbike Championship events, extending a partnership that first began in 2008.

STIHL continues to develop its products to stay ahead of the opposition, in a similar way to the competition on the race track, and has committed to over 85 years of innovation meaning that its world famous chainsaws along with other machines like leaf blowers and hedge trimmers are utilised by both industry professionals and home owners. A selection of STIHL products will continue to feature as part of the trackside branding at all twelve rounds of the Championship; showcasing to both fans at the race circuit and to a worldwide TV audience.

“We’re excited to be part of British Superbikes once more,” said Simon Hewitt, STIHL’s Head of Marketing. “There’s a fantastic synergy between the power and exhilaration on the track and the performance STIHL tools are famous for.”

MCE British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs said: “I am delighted that together with STIHL GB we have extended our partnership into the seventh season. The Championship continues to give STIHL the platform to showcase their brand and we look forward to working together again in 2014.”

The 2014 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship features 26 races held across twelve rounds running from April to October. Each round features live coverage of MCE BSB qualifying and races broadcast on British Eurosport, plus dedicated highlights programmes show on both British Eurosport and the ITV network.
