Royal Distributing racer, Michael Leon has partnered with BMW Motorrad Canada and Trackday Provider / Dunlop Distributor, Pro 6 Cycle for 2015. The veteran racer will ride the new 2015 S1000RR in the Canadian Superbike Championship and select regional events.

This will be the eighth season that Leon will be racing in Royal Distributing colours. Through this long relationship, Michael has represented Royal in multiple series, riding many different types and brands of machines. The highlight of the Royal / Leon partnership was in 2012, when the they won the RACE Pro #1 plate.

The BMW S1000RR is the obvious choice for the team as they make the move to the National level Superbike category after several years in the 600cc class. “The BMW has proven to be a ‘turn-key’ Superbike with the S1000RR becoming the class leader in the few short years since it was first introduced. I’m so excited to be able to continue the relationship with Royal Distributing and bring them to the premier Superbike class. Thanks to Scott Spark (Royal Distributing) Chris Duff (BMW) and Sandy Noce (Pro 6 Cycle) for believing in this program. I won’t have any excuses about the equipment, that’s for sure! ” commented Michael.

As part of the partnership, Pro 6 Cycle staff will have BMW motorcycles on hand at their 27 scheduled track days for use as demo bikes by select customers and coaching staff. Michael will attend multiple Pro 6 Cycle track days to promote BMW and offer coaching services. Many of Canada’s top racers have received support from Pro 6 Cycle at some point in their career and Leon is no exception. His relationship with Pro 6 Cycle is a long one; dating back to 2000 when Sandy Noce prepared his race engines for the 600 SuperSport class.

“BMW Motorrad Canada is proud to partner with Michael Leon and his team in 2015. We have followed his racing career over the years and have been very impressed with his professionalism both on and off the track. We look forward to celebrating his success this season in his return to the Pro Superbike Class” stated Chris Duff (BMW).
