Rossi Wins 500cc Grand Prix At Rio

Vanletino Rossi won the 500cc Grand Prix at Rio, which was red-flagged after four laps for rain, then restarted to run another 20 laps on a drying track (Rossi turned the fastest lap of the race, 1:53.258, on lap 20 of 24).<BR><BR>Crashers included Shinya Nakano (who restarted), Oliver Jacque, Jurgen van den Goorbergh, Sete Gibernau (who restarted), and Tohru Ukawa.
