Rossi And Lorenzo-Autographed Promotional Covers Being Auctioned To Benefit The Roadracing World Action Fund

Five over-sized promotional cover replicas of the August 2009 issue of Roadracing World & Motorcycle Technology magazine ( that have been autographed by six-time and defending MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi and his Fiat Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo are being auctioned off individually on ebay ( to benefit the Roadracing World Action Fund.

Each cover displays an action photo of Rossi and Lorenzo racing to a spectacular finish at this year's terrific Gran Prix at Catalunya, in Spain. Each rider signed near their photo on each cover. All five covers are essentially identical.

The autographs were arranged with the help of Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A. at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix July 3-5 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The covers are full-color gloss poster stock paper attached to foam board. They can be framed, but they are not being sold framed. They measure 30 inches tall by 24 inches wide and about 3/8 inch thick.

The amount paid for these covers may be tax-deductible in the United States.

The five auctions started today, Monday, August 17 at approximately 2:15-2:20 p.m. Pacific Time and will end at the same approximate time on Monday, August 24.

There is no reserve price.

All proceeds from this auction will go towards the Roadracing World Action Fund, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes motorcycle racing safety and education to prevent racetrack injuries. Since its inception in 2001, the Fund has raised over $685,000 via online auction and donations, supplied soft barriers to numerous racing organizations and racetracks, and prevented more injuries than is possible to accurately count.
