Results From Monday’s ZARS Shootout And Rider Challenge Championship Series At Road America

Elkhart Lake, WI (July 31) – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held the Shootout Championship and Rider Challenge Championships Series and Track Days, July 28, at Elkhart Lake’s Road America.

Several top riders from across the Midwest as well as a few AMA racers took over the 4-mile road course in Wisconsin on July 28. The Shootout Series attracted several top racers including Cory West, Cities Edge Motorsports rider Pat Stewart, and Farrell Performance rider Scott Stall. The series presented by BlownConcepts.com awarded over $800 in cash prizes to the top finishers in the classes.

Stall, Stewart and West had an intense battle the first two laps for GP 3/4 Expert class with Stall prevailing and Stewart as the runner up in 2nd place and Jason Braun rounding off the podium in 3rd. In the GP 1/2 Expert, Tom Swager put on an incredible performance and took the win.

With another podium finish, Stewart is now our points leader for GP3/4 Expert. “It was exciting to watch Stall, Stewart and West battle, all three gave an awesome performance,” stated ZARS director Jessica Zalusky

In the Novice ranks, James Stanley dominated to take the checkered flag for GP 3/4 Novice class with Scott Masterton in 2nd and Matt Cina in 3rd place. In the GP 1/2 Novice ranks, Leif Nadeau took home his first win in this series.

ZARS continues to broaden our opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. Getting the hole shot award and leading the field from start to finish, Lucas Wygant had an impressive ride with and took the win for GP 4 in the Rider Challenge. A fierce battle ensued in GP 3 with Joseph Mastain taking home his first win of his career with Peter Mittendorf in 2ndand Chris Burns in 3rd place.

ZARS heads to Brainerd International Raceway on September 1 for our series finale.
