FIM MotoGP World Championship: The start of the 2012 Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) has a contract to host the MotoGP World Championship through the 2014 season, but new leadership at IMS is planning to take a hard look at continuing the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix in 2014 or utilizing an opt-out clause in its contract with Dorna.
That's what Mark Miles, the new CEO of Hulman & Co., the parent company of IMS, told a reporter in a June 10 article appearing at , the online presence of the Indianapolis Star daily newspaper.

Mel Harder, the former Senior Vice-President of Operations at IMS and the person who played a large role in bringing MotoGP to Indy, recently ended his 22-year career with the track and took a new position with Circuit of The Americas, which also hosts MotoGP.
