Nicky Hayden won the AMA Superbike race at Pikes Peak, beating Eric Bostrom by 1.055 seconds. Doug Chandler was third with Mat Mladin fourth.<BR><BR>Mladin still leads the points with two races remaining in the series, with 359 points to Bostrom's 344 and Hayden's 303.<BR><BR>Results follow:<BR><BR>1. Eric Haugo, Suzuki, -38 laps, DNF<BR><BR>Hayden dedicated his race win to dirt track racer Will Davis, 36, who died following a crash during an AMA half-mile at Sedalia, Missouri last night, Saturday, August 25.<BR><BR>Hayden said Davis "was the nicest guy you'd ever meet" and said that, as an illustration of that fact, Davis loaned him (Hayden) his back-up bike to race last weekend when Hayden's dirt-track bike was not running right.<BR><BR>Davis is survived by his wife, Rhonda, and his son, Cole.
