Kyle Wyman to contest MotoAmerica Superbike series with title sponsor Millennium Technologies

TUCSON, Ariz. (Mar. 14) — Kyle Wyman Racing (KWR) announced today it’s plans to contest the 2016 MotoAmerica Superbike championship with title sponsor Millennium Technologies. Wyman will ride the #33 Millennium Technologies/KWR Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike for his rookie season in the class.

After enjoying podium-finishing success in the final round of the 2015 Superstock 1000 series, Wyman plans to move up one more class and compete against the very best riders in the country.

“The decision to go to Superbike was based on a number of things,” Wyman said. “As a team owner, I know I can get the best exposure for Millennium Technologies by racing in the premier class. As a rider, it’s going to elevate my game. The Yamaha YZF-R1 and myself got along great in our first outing, and I feel it’s the bike for me and the class that will offer the greatest opportunity.”

Wyman finished 2nd and 4th respectively in his first two races in Superstock 1000 at New Jersey Motorsports Park, thanks to support from the Millennium Technologies family of companies.

“Millennium Technologies is the recognized leader in high-tech powersports engine machining, including cylinder and cylinder head services. The family of companies also includes brands like Ballistic Performance Components, a manufacturer of lightweight Lithium-Ion batteries, and Revolution Performance, a manufacturer of bolt-on big-bore kits for Harley-Davidson motorcycles,” Wyman added. “Millennium has been a dedicated supporter of road racing in America for almost 18 years and I am proud to be able to represent their company in the Superbike series for 2016.”

“For the past four years, we have had the pleasure of working with Kyle and being a part of his growth as a professional on and off the racetrack,” said Chip Spalding, Motorsports Marketing Coordinator for the Millennium Technologies. “Racing is a part of our DNA at Millennium, and we are excited to be a part of the KWR team and their initial foray into the premier class of American road racing.”

The 2016 MotoAmerica series will kick off at Circuit of the Americas for the first official test of the season, March 23-24, 2016.
