Melissa Paris to Compete in MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Aboard MPH Racing M4 Suzuki GSX-R600 for 2016.

CHICAGO, IL. (USA) March 21, 2016 – Professional motorcycle roadracer Melissa Paris is pleased to announce that she’ll be competing in the 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship Superstock 600 class aboard the MPH Racing M4 Suzuki GSX-R600.

Paris has chosen the Superstock 600 for the excitement it brings to the fans. For the 2016 season, MotoAmerica is combining the factory supported Supersport with the Superstock 600 class. Superstock 600 will see the top 15 riders from qualifying automatically transfer to the “Main Event” race. A last chance qualifier for the remaining Superstock 600 racers will take place with the top 5 in that race transferring to the race. The entire Supersport field along with the top 20 from Superstock 600 and who meet the 110% of pole time will race together for the class and overall win.

Melissa’s early season goal is to have a firm foothold in the top 15 of the Superstock 600 class. Making those main event races will showcase her and her teams talents throughout the course of the season.

Melissa commented, “Making the move to Superstock 600 is something that has been in the back of my mind for a bit. Between how much less expensive it is to field a competitive program and how deep the field is, it really seemed like the best choice. I’m very excited because last season they had some big groups of racers who were closely matched. I know racing with these guys is going to force me to up my game.”

Paris has also brought back her crowd funding campaign with Dark Horse Pros! Last year, with many of Melissa’s sponsors kicking in reward level prizes for contributors, the funding project exceeded its goal with a staggering $31,000 in 30 days. Of that money, $1,000 went to the Project Podium Grant. This year she has renewed her campaign in hopes to raise money for testing and an additional mechanic, with a base goal of $5,000 and a stretch goal of $15,000! In a few short days (as of press time) she has raised over $9,000. To be part of Melissa’s 2016 effort visit this link for her Dark Horse Pro’s page: https://www.darkhorsepros.com/campaigns/175

Competing in the 2016 MotoAmerica season is made possible with technical support from Team Hammer and the continuing relationships with long-time sponsors Joe Rocket, HJC, Silver Piston, Motion Pro, Maxima, Fable, Hotbodies Racing, Dark Horse Pros, Roadracing World, M4 Exhaust and DynoJet as well as new partners bike911.com and Beta Tools.
