Grant Lopez checked out of a hospital late Tuesday night and was cleared by a doctor to fly to Colorado for the AMA National at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, Colorado.<BR><BR>Lopez, who crashed and suffered a concussion at Pocono on Tuesday, flew out of Newark, New Jersey early this morning, along with mechanic Todd Fenton.<BR><BR>Lopez, who won the Formula Xtreme race at last year's Pikes Peak AMA National, intends to race in Formula Xtreme at Pikes Peak on Saturday and then return to Pocono for the Unlimited Superbike races on Sunday. Lopez, the 2000 F-USA Unlimited Superbike Champion, will miss Formula USA qualifying but has arranged to take a provisional start for the first race at Pocono.
