Wyman brothers ready to take on MotoAmerica at New Jersey Motorsports Park

MILLVILLE, N.J. (Sept. 10) — The Millennium Technologies sponsored Wyman brothers will compete in the final round of the MotoAmerica series this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. Kyle will be competing in the Superstock 1000 category only, while brothers Travis and Cody will compete in their regular Superstock 600 class.

Kyle finished a test Wednesday at the NJMP Lightning course, which provided some much-needed track time for him and the Millennium Technologies Yamaha YZF-R1.

“The test was really great,” Kyle said. “We finally had a good four hours of track time to really go through the electronics and sort out some issues. The first time we rode this bike was the initial practice session at Indianapolis, so having a real test now under our belt is going to pay off huge this weekend.

“I have ridden many laps around NJMP coaching with the Yamaha Champions Riding School, so learning the track won’t be an issue. We should be in a position to contend for a podium. I’ll be sure to give it everything I have for Millennium Technologies, all of my sponsors and my crew. Lot’s of people are a part of KWR and I want to repay them with success.”

Middle brother Travis enjoyed success in his MotoAmerica Supersport wild-card debut at Indianapolis with a 6th place finish. This weekend he heads back to his regular Superstock 600 class and is looking for race wins.

“I’m really excited to get back to Jersey after coming off a strong finish at Indianapolis,” Travis said. “I feel confident that I can get right back out there and contend for a couple more podium finishes, and maybe even some race wins. We are also in a position to finish 2nd in the championship standings if we have a good weekend.”

Cody, the youngest of the Wyman trio, has not ridden since the last Superstock 600 round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca where he came away with a top-10 finish.

“I have had tons of back luck at NJMP the past few years, but I can’t wait to redeem myself and end the year on a high note,” Cody said. “I’m looking forward to getting back on my Millennium Technologies R6 and showing what I can do on a track I know well.”

Action starts Friday morning, September 11th at 9:00 A.M. EST when the Superstock 600 class hits the track for first practice. All of the action can be viewed LIVE on motortrendondemand.com or fanschoice.tv for video coverage.
