Pro racer Jason DiSalvo chose Emma Nelson, age 8, of Corona, California, as the winner of the first "Jason Against the World" Contest, Presented by Heroic Racing Apparel.
The contest was originally published in the August 2010 issue of Roadracing World magazine.
To enter, entrants were required to write letters to DiSalvo regarding the topic of their choice.
Emma won a pair of Heroic SP-R Pro Gloves, which Heroic even makes in her size.
"I was impressed by Emma's letter and her great taste in racers. The drawing sealed the deal and makes he a winner in my book!" said DiSalvo of Emma's letter.
