DNA Energy Drink/CnR Motorsports rider Bobby Fong will not be competing in the final round of the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike series September 24-26 at Barber Motorsports Park.
Unfortunately Fong was involved in an incident on track Friday during a team practice at the facility. As a precaution, he was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and later discharged. After undergoing further medical testing in Florida, his doctor recommends that Fong sit out the final round to give himself time to heal.
Although Fong is disappointed with the unfortunate events, he remains focused on his rehabilitation and is excited about returning to AMA Pro Daytona SportBike in 2011.
