Ulrich and Fergusson both crashed late in the even-numbered session. Ulrich highsided underneath the Suzuki bridge and was treated at the Road Atlanta Care Center for abrasions on his back.

The entire front row came from the even-numbered qualifying session, which was run after the odd-numbered session.
